The predominately Republican Senate passes the Taft-Hartley Act to overturn union rights, in favor of the Republicans.
Truman integrates the armed forces. He also eliminates the factor of racial discrimination when hiring for a government job.

Mexican-Americans are discriminated against especially after an undertaker refused burial services to Felix Longoria. And Native Americans suffer more torture from the American Government.
